Rabbit anti-MBP-Tag Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody [BLRE07P]
Product Details
Specifications
Immunogen was a recombinant protein representing Escherichia coli maltose ABC transporter periplasmic binding protein (aka MBP-Tag, residues 27-392, EER8245063.1).
Additional Product Information
MBP Tag Maltose-binding protein (MBP) is a large (~42 kDa) protein derived from the Escherichia coli maltose/maltodextrin-binding protein (MalE) that is commonly engineered onto the N- or C- terminus of a protein of interest. MBP fusion tags are widely used to enhance the solubility and stability of recombinant proteins and to facilitate purification, detection, and analysis via affinity to amylose resins and immunochemical methods.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
